Point of View Header

A battle hardened Knight once said, “…many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.” These are mine.

CZ-198.

Is it Daily Perfection? If it’s not, it’s close enough for me.

Keep reading for my take on the best daily mission zone to date in SWTOR, or any MMO that I’ve had the pleasure to grind.

Saybur CZ trash compactor

What makes a great Daily Zone? For me it’s a combination of three things.

  • Speed
  • Value
  • Fun

If you have the first two, Fun is almost a given.

CZ-198 is a quick Daily Mission injection. The Weekly is an easy afterthought.

The Zone is a clean build and plays fast after your first run through. Story wise the missions are completed in Czerka’s business complex and shipping areas of their company.

Your missions are:

  1. Staff CutsArea Kill Mission
  2. Droid DemolitionBash some droids
  3. What’s Yours is MineCollect/Destroy Nodes
  4. Anti-Toxin AcquisitionDown the trash shoot Flyboy!

The weekly involves completing all the above and Czerka flashpoints, once. The flashpoints can be done in storymode, which I’m a big fan of.

The speed these missions can be completed is a big part of why this daily zone is successful. Getting there couldn’t be easier. Just hit the Shuttle Kiosk outside your personal ship hanger on the fleet. The four daily missions can be completed in 20 minutes. You get commendations, credits, and reputation with your faction’s Czerka Takeover/Acquisition conglomerate. The rep unlocks some nifty gear and toys for the effort.

That’s where the value comes in. The rep will take about a month of casual grinding. Once you unlock it you can purchase all kinds of awsome. Everything from speeders to vibroswords. You also gain access to an HK-51 customization and Operation grade Weapons!

Those two factors add up to fun.

For those of us on PvP servers the Zone is built so a savvy player can avoid or engage in as much PvP as they desire. Near your faction’s elevator is a guard droid that zaps opposing players dead in one shot. If you don’t want to PvP, just retreat back. If you want to get deep into the PvP scene the zone has LoS and other positions to rain down destruction on the opposition.

/Cheers Bioware. You’ve done what no one thought possible, at least this guy. You’ve built a Daily Zone that could actually be considered FUN.

The Silverstrike Legacy can be found on The Bastion’s Vaiken Spacedock and Carrick Station, in the company of his fellow Zergadins and snidagreZ.
